Flywheel Controlled Jaw Clutch

The fast rotation of a gear-driven shaft deformes a chain link being fixed to its end and to the end of the driven shaft. The deformation of the chain link by the occuring centrifugal forces, pulls both shafts together and engages the external jaw clutch on the driven shaft. A gear train, fixed to the inner part of the coupling, indicates the coupling's operations by the turning or standstill of the driven gear.
